History
Nigerian Dwarf goats, originally bred from the same genetic foundation as Pygmy goats, are now recognized for their miniature dairy qualities and graceful appearance. These goats come in a variety of colors and patterns, including bi and tri-color combinations, and may or may not have horns. Bucks can reach heights of up to 23.5 inches, while does typically stand at 22.25 inches. Known for their gentle disposition, Nigerian Dwarfs are not only companions but also productive milkers, yielding one to two quarts of rich, high-butterfat milk daily, ideal for making cheese and butter.
